Thanks to Keith Hazzard, Compliance Auditor/Training Coordinator for sharing Fire Safety tips along with these ways we and ways we can stay safe at work:

  • Ensure our facilities are kept clean and free of any accumulated debris.
  • Ensure ALL flammables are stowed in their fireproof cabinet(s) when not in use.
  • Ensure a ‘Hot Work’ permit has been documented when doing such work.

Hot work is defined as any activity which results in sparks, fire, molten slag, or hot material which has the potential to cause fires or explosions.
Examples of Hot Work:

  • Brazing
